This is cool, after being sent a link to a elevator enthusiast in Australia who below, unboxed some cool elevator plates he had bought on ebay, one of which was a C.J. Anderson Controller Tag. I posted a comment asking what the Serial number was so I could find out where it came from. Ten minutes later I found it as well as the wiring diagram for the original job, which dated back to 1919.

How many companies do you know of that can pull this kind of information out from their archives, almost 100 years later?

What makes a good vandal proof push button? Give us a call at 1-800-252-1910 and we’ll tell you. Choose the NEMA 4X VX-I Pushbutton from C.J. Anderson for your next project and you’ll save money on repair costs related to elevator button and fixture vandalism.

Thanks to Andrew for posting this video of a very unique indoor side walk type elevator. This lift, installed by Salem Elevator is very old and most likely has parts from a variety of manufacturers including CJ. The control station on the platform is our FT-15 with parts still available! How’s that for product support and longevity?

Click the following link to view the product data sheet for the push button station.
FT-15-Data-Sheet

Enjoy the video and remember that when choosing elevator components, would you rather install an inexpensive product and have parts replaced all the time or install a longer lasting product and not have to replace parts? There’s a good chance that this push button station is original along with the internal components which most likely dates back to the 1930′s or 1940′s.

Just recently they purchased a CJA Elevator Operators Seat for the elevator.

It was great to see many of you who stopped by our booth. We had a great location and there seemed to be a constant stream of people stopping by to say hi. We gave away all 1000 of our pocket screw drivers and all the product catalogs we brought. We look forward to seeing you next year in Atlantic City at the United show!

We’ve got hundreds if not thousands of controllers, fixtures, switches, interlocks and selector systems installed across the world and it’s always great to see photos of them still going strong. This project, located in Texas is a single speed rack and pinion elevator which utilizes a Power Electronics soft start motor control. Running strong since 1989, prints and components are still available through local electrical supply houses. Even back in 1989 we were building controllers utilizing non proprietary equipment so that you could purchase replacement items from local electrical distributors.

This is a relay logic NEMA 7 elevator control system with a soft start motor control. It’s been running since 1989 like a champ and will continue for another 20-30 years because of its design and the components that were used to build the system. The great news is that we can still build an identical controller like this. Perfect for like for like repair replacement.

If you have a project and would like to share photographs send them to us and we’ll send you a free t-shirt for doing so! Send your CJA equipment photos to sales@cjanderson.com.
